Pastor Ibiyeomi Hands Over Old People’s Home to Port Harcourt Diocese By Justine Dyikuk

Christian faithful across the country on 17th October, 2018 were taught lessons in practical ecumenism by the humanitarian act of Pastor David Ibiyeomie of the Salvation Ministries who built and donated an edifice to the Catholic Bishop of Port Harcourt Diocese, Most. Rev. Camillus Etukudoh to be used by senior citizens.

The development came on the heels of the Pastor’s 56th birthday slated for Sunday 21st October 2018.

At the colourful ceremony, Pastor Ibiyeomie graciously handed over the keys of the state of the art facility which was built by Salvation Ministries, to Bishop Etukudoh on behalf of Port Harcourt Diocese, owners and managers of the new Old People’s Home.

Speaking at the occasion, Pastor Pastor Ibiyeomie hoped that the gesture would enhance Christian unity while praying that the facility would give the aged comfort and Joy.

Responding after the reception of the keys, Bishop Etokudoh who warmly received Pastor Ibiyeomie and his entourage, prayed that the Church may be one.

He praised Pastor Ibiyeomie for his love for humanity by demonstrating this level of generosity to the Catholic Church while wishing him many fruitful years ahead and gave him a copy of the Holy Bible as a gift for his 56th birthday celebration.

Present to witness the philanthropic act were Fr. Steve Dedua and Dr. J.C. Osanakpo (SAN) and other pastors who were in the company of Pastor Ibiyeomie.
